Investiture Ceremony

"Leaders are not born but are made by their experiences in life".

To inculcate the leadership qualities in the students and to give them a feel of functioning as an administrative body, National Academy for Learning (North) welcomed its student cabinet into office on 31st July 2021. The investiture ceremony was the culmination of several weeks of hard work, with students (of grades IX to XII) casting votes and canvassing support, and teachers striving to make the elections run as smoothly and fairly as possible.

Ms. Hemalata Pillai, the school’s Vice Principal, and Ms. Josheta Hari, the Head of Planning and Development of NPS/NAFL group of schools, lit the lamp to begin the ceremony on an auspicious note. This was followed by a speech by the Vice Principal and a semi-classical dance by one of the students. The school staff conducted various online activities which facilitated an exchange of ideas, among students, teachers and parents about the value of leadership and what leadership meant to each one of the elected cabinet member.

After the poll, the student and teacher comperes introduced the cabinet members. The collective pride was seen when the cabinet members proudly donned their badges, sashes and flags. The leadership team invested the office bearers. The portfolios of the elected student leaders were displayed along with their photographs. It was a proud moment for all the parents to witness their children the school’s vision, and the newly elected school prefect gave a speech. The event concluded with a melodious song and the vote of thanks proposed by the Sports captain followed by the National Anthem.

The NAFL family is proud of the student cabinet and congratulates them for their new responsibilities.
