World Environment Day

“Wipe out pollution before it wipes you out, so nurture the nature to save the environment”

World Environment Day is celebrated annually on June 5th and was created to inspire people around the globe to become active about the environment and learn more about ways they can help to ensure, that the future of our planet is safe and make positive environmental changes.

Each year NAFL picks a theme to promote environmental awareness. This year (2019) the theme was Greening the Blue – Beat Air Pollution. NAFL celebrated it week-long from June 10th to June 19th with great pomp and show by arranging various activities to generate awareness among students such as essay writing, drawing competition, poster making, art competition and culminated with a theme-based demonstration in a special assembly put up by the Secondary and Senior Secondary students. Value systems were established through actions that spoke louder than words when the students were encouraged for positive actions regarding protection of our environment by being socially responsible. All students brought in indoor plants to green the classrooms and the planting of the Gulmohar trees within the school premises by our Vice-Principal and the teachers indeed go a long way in driving the point home about the protection of our blue planet.

This campaign was established to focus on environment conditions and encourage children to be the active part of positive changes in the environment on earth in order to ensure the safe future of our planet.
