Debate Competition

On Friday, 20th December 2024, Grades 5 to 8 participated in an engaging inter-class debate competition demonstrating the power of reasoning and persuasion. Students from Grades 5 and 6 debated on the topic – “AI: Boon or Bane for Students” exploring the benefits and drawbacks of artificial intelligence in education. The Grade 7 and 8 students argued passionately about whether “Book Smart is Better than Street Smart.” The competition not only enhanced student's critical thinking and research skills, but it also improved their confidence and public speaking skills as well as their ability to construct logical arguments. Participants demonstrated excellent teamwork and analytical skills with strong rebuttals and well-structured points, making the event thought-provoking and enriching.
