2A Assembly - A Sea of Courage

On the bright morning of December 4th, the students of Grade 2A took centre stage to conduct a stirring special assembly. The theme, "Joy of Selfless Service," was beautifully intertwined with the celebration of Indian Navy Day. The assembly aimed to honour the "Sentinels of the Sea" and educate the students about the immense dedication required to protect our nation’s maritime borders.

Commemorating History: Operation Trident

Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, the 17th-century Maratha emperor is recognized as the "Father of the Indian Navy" for his visionary maritime strategies.

The young presenters took us back in time to the year 1971. With great pride, they narrated the story of Operation Trident.

On the night of 4th December 1971, the Indian Navy executed a brilliant surprise attack that changed the course of history. By destroying three enemy ships and damaging a major harbour—all while ensuring zero Indian casualties—our Navy proved its strategic brilliance and unmatched bravery. It is in honour of this historic victory that we celebrate Navy Day every year.

The Essence of Selfless Service

The assembly highlighted that being a sailor is not just a job; it is a calling. Grade 2A students performed a short skit, dance performance and a song. They emphasized that while we sleep safely in our beds, our heros and their families make the ultimate sacrifice of staying apart for months.

The assembly concluded with a solemn salute to the Indian Navy and their families. The spirit of the Indian Navy teaches us that discipline is the bridge between goals and accomplishment, and selfless service is the highest form of humanity.

Jai Hind.
